MineralTree Appoints Micah Remley as CEO

Cambridge, Mass, May 23, 2019 – MineralTree, a market-leading Accounts Payable and Payment Automation solution provider, announced today that it has appointed Micah Remley as chief executive officer.

Remley has served as MineralTree’s chief operating officer since July 2018, contributing to the company’s continued growth in size and market share. Remley brings more than 20 years of relevant technology and financial industry experience to his new role as CEO, including numerous executive roles at Boston-based EnerNOC. In 2013, Remley was recognized on the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list for his contributions to disrupting an outdated and inefficient industry.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead this company,” said Remley. “MineralTree has grown rapidly since its inception, demonstrating the pivotal role the company is playing in the digitization of the finance function. As CEO, I look forward to building on MineralTree’s leading position, growing our partnerships with financial institutions, and further enhancing our leading technology platform that vastly simplifies the AP and B2B payment process for middle-market businesses.”

Remley succeeds BC Krishna, who is transitioning from his role as founder and CEO to a strategic advisor for the company.

“Micah embodies the spirit of MineralTree – innovative, dedicated and always seeking new ways to drive value,” said Krishna. “I could not be more pleased that he is MineralTree’s new CEO. I’m excited to continue working alongside him as he helps drive the company forward, gaining on the momentum of our rapid growth. I am humbled to have led an exceptional team that has such a bright future, one that will only continue to grow as we change the way that middle market businesses manage their Accounts Payable function.”

MineralTree has been gaining significant momentum in recent years, recently announcing that it grew revenue by 80%, doubled the size of the team in the last year and raised a $50M funding round led by Great Hill Partners. The company is actively growing its team in order to expand its position as a leading AP Automation solution provider serving over 1,500 middle-market businesses both directly and through its partner channel, which includes 29 leading financial institutions that private label its product.
